Our Commitment to Privacy

Intimate Tales (“we”, “our”, “the Service”) is built on a foundation of privacy. The intimate nature of this service demands it. We collect only what we need to operate the Service, never sell your data, and use only essential cookies for authentication.

Age Requirement

This Service is strictly for users aged 18 and older. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If we learn that a user is under 18, their account and all associated data will be deleted immediately.

What We Collect

• Account data: Email address, name (optional), and hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google OAuth — we do not access your Google account data beyond this.
• Profile data: Partner names, relationship type, character descriptions, intensity preferences, themes, and boundaries you configure. This data is used solely to personalize your stories.
• Stories and feedback: Generated story content, ratings, and feedback associated with your account. Feedback is used to improve future story generation for your account only.
• Audio data: Generated audio narrations are cached for up to 30 days, then automatically deleted. Audio is regenerated on demand if requested after expiry.
• Payment data: Processed entirely by Stripe. We never see, receive, or store your card details. We store only your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

What We Don't Do

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party
• We do not use your stories, preferences, or profile data to train AI models
• We do not share your profile or stories with other users (unless you create a share link)
• We do not send marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies
• We do not store payment card information

How Stories Are Generated

To create your stories and audio, certain data is processed by third-party AI services:

• Story generation: Partner names, character descriptions, preferences, and any custom prompts you provide are used to generate each story.
• Audio narration: Story text is processed to produce the spoken narration. Audio is generated in real time and cached temporarily (up to 30 days) for playback.

Your email, password, payment details, and account identifiers are never included in the generation process — only the creative content needed for your story.

Shared Stories

When you create a share link, the story content is accessible to anyone with the link for up to 72 hours. Share links do not reveal your account information, partner names in the URL, or any profile data. Only the story text, title, and category are visible. Share links expire automatically.

Data Retention

• Account & profile data: Retained while your account is active
• Stories: Retained while your account is active
• Audio files: Automatically deleted after 30 days; regenerated on demand
• Share links: Expire after 72 hours

You can delete individual stories at any time. Account deletion removes all associated data permanently. Accounts inactive for more than 12 months may be deleted; we will attempt to notify you by email before doing so.

You have the right to:

• Access all personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent for data processing
